Print Advertising

This picture is an advertisement done by steven servis: a freelance advertiser in sprinfield, missouri.

This ad is part of a creative campaign based around the big idea of “There’s nothing to do”. It was created for Missouri State University’s baseball advertising campaign. The target market for this ad is 35+, with an emphasis on family activity. The medium for this ad is Print (EX 417, Springfield Business Journal) and billboards.

Here is an example of one of my ads in a print publication.

Above is an example of an internet banner advertisement. To the left is the banner ad on the MSU Bears web site. Notice how it cuts through the noise. This is because the ad is personified. The other ads show the products but have little call to action.

Here’s a spec. ad. It’s for Mary Kay, the makeup company. The woman in the photo is a simple looking lady getting ready to go somewhere.

The copy reads, “You’re more than just a pretty face...but they’ll never know.”

The ad implies that Mary Kay makeup can make simple girls look like the high maintenance girls that men love, without having to be one.

The “they” in the ad is alluding to men. Below is an example of the ad in a magazine
